Leicester Legal Walk
Following the success of the London Legal Walk and other walks in cities across the country, the Leicester Legal Walk will take place on 22nd June this year. The 10km will be led by Lord Bach and will have a Magna Carta theme.
The sponsored walk raises funds for the Midland Legal Support Trust, which supports a variety of free legal support services in the region for the most vulnerable in society. Free legal advice is becoming increasingly important to ensure proper access to justice to those who require it most, in the face of the significant scaling back of Legal Aid and rises in court fees.
The walk is supported by the Leicester Law Society.
The walk will commence at 5:30pm on Monday 22nd June and will take a route of almost 10km around Leicester. It will be followed by celebratory drinks.
