Mediators and Duty Solicitors

The Leicester Family Court has recently begun an “At Court Mediator” scheme.  There will be a mediator available at court each Thursday to assist parties who are attending a First Hearing Dispute Resolution Appointment (FHDRA) in private law children cases.

There is also a pro-bono “Duty Solicitor” scheme which means a solicitor is available on alternate Thursdays to advise parties in private law children cases.  This is co-ordinated by Castle Park Solicitors.

These services are in addition to the CAFCASS Family Court Adviser who will always be present to assist the parties in such cases.
