LLFJB Annual Conference – programme announced

The programme has now been announced for this year’s LLFJB annual conference: “The Modern Family: Challenges, Choices & Opportunities” – 10th October 2014.

 

The keynote speaker is Mr Justice Hayden and there are a number of other plenary speakers and workshops looking at a range of topics including; LGBT families and parenting, IVF and surrogacy, and an international child abduction essential guide. It promises to be an excellent event.  The event poster can be found here.

Further information and event joining instructions can be found here.  The ticket price is £85 for lawyers and £35 for non-lawyers: an “early bird” discount of 10% is available for payments received before 26th September 2014, so don’t delay!  Places are limited and the event is always heavily subscribed.

The Association of Lawyers for Children, in association with Hanson Renouf, is hosting a conference entitled “Children, health and the law” on 3rd October 2014 in Jersey.

 

The programme features a number of eminent speakers and the topics should be of significant interest to anybody practising in children law:

Financial Relief CPD Seminar

Voice of the Child Conference 2014

The Voice of the Child Conference 2014 will be hosted by the Family Justice Young People’s Board on 24th July 2014.

 

The agenda this year includes a welcome address from Rt Hon Simon Hughes MP, Minister of State for Justice and Civil Liberties and a closing address from Sir James Munby, President of the Family Division, as well as a number of workshops, panel discussions and real stories shared by children and young people who have experienced the family courts.
